Secret Love review:
Student/Teacher stories are tales I'm not overly excited about and that's because most are the same ole same not to mentioned kinda tasteless. But let me tell you something, Secret Love was PERFECT! Ritchie and Francesca were AMAZING characters that didn't just trip and fall in love OR had that overly sexual element I tend to see in student/teacher novels either. Oh no these two grew at a pace that only leads up to deliciousness and I felt as though I grew with them.
I cheered, smirked at the naughty scenes, and full-out bawl during a few of them too. Chapters ten and sixteen respectively are good examples, to witness a character break down at the question what do you like about yourself is a flat-out slap of reality! And the events since then were truly fascinating.
Let's step away from the characters a bit and let me just say, F. Burns, your storytelling and tone is what I call bewitching. The intimacy in Secret Love is the type of authenticity I've missed and it reminded me of all the times I would sneak off and read novels I wasn't supposed to as a kid, even though it was pure if you get what I mean lol.
There's nothing better than living, experiencing, and falling in love with a book you don't want to end and I mean, the in-depth psychology of Ritchie as an individual is so beautiful I just wept in joy.
Thank you for an enjoyable read, my weekend came to be better than expected and your story brought me through what started as a tedious day.
